I think the worst was on Thanksgiving and my husband and I were notified by our down stair neighbors that we wouldn't be able to use our water(their apartment was completely flooded)! We was never notified when we could use our water again!! I ended up calling and visiting the office for 2 days before I got an answer. The so called manager wasn't even aware of the issue. That was frustrating. The water issue was never ending, and we were told that it was going to be an ongoing issue and they were "sorry". Oh and the AC in this place was awful, pointless to even have one when it never worked! They had someone look at it and they said there wasn't anything wrong. It would get around 82-85 degrees. It was miserable!!!(this problem was never fixed)
I could go on for days about this place but I'll just stop now. Do NOT rent from this place, you will REGRET it!!!
There is only one guy who does all the maintenance work for entire complex(about 40 apartments). He's good about responding to maintenance emergencies, but I don't think he has enough time to attend to other things. There is a large hole in my bathroom wall (leftover from an emergency problem with the drains) that was fixed by nailing cardboard over it.
If you don't have pets, you can find better deals elsewhere.
If you are looking for a place to live, please do not get fooled by all those cheap move in fees and that they allow big dogs! They will screw you over any chance they get! We moved out after our lease was up and I am so thankful to be out of there!! Never received our deposit back even though we left the apartment cleaner than what it was when we moved in.
The management there was awful, it changed so frequently and they always had an attitude. They had office hours but was practically never there, which is extremely frustrating when you go to pay rent and they are closed.
I have mixed feelings about this place. I've lived here for two years and I'm moving later this month.
Oh, and the laundry room was a joke!!! Very overpriced and the washers and dryers hardly ever worked! Mind you there was about 6 washer and 6 dryers for all those apartments. Total waste of money!!
The Laundry Room
Yes, there is a pool. It is much smaller than it looks like in the pictures on their website. This summer, the pool was never even opened. There was work being done on it in the spring, and residents were promised that the pool would open, but apparently it couldn't pass the city inspection. More promises were made that the pool would be fixed, but the summer passed without it.
There was always people partying and being super loud throughout the night. Never any parking close to our apartment.
I can't prove this but I am just throwing it out there, they came in a sprayed for termites etc; well after the sprayed both my dogs got extremely sick. They assured me that it would not affect them.
I would not even recommend my worst enemy to live here. The only thing good about this place was that they allowed big dogs! When we got the keys, I had to literally scrub and clean the apartment before we put any of our stuff in there. It smelled like animal urine and the carpets were disgusting!
The management is super rude and not helpful the apartment is so old I this it was build in ww1 please do not move here
Your better off living in a shelter
Jun 2017..We had maintenance out 3 times about our air conditioner as it's 75 degrees inside at 10:00pm, they said we're ordering a fan blower a week later and I'm still waiting for the part I doubt it comes my electric bill was $180.00 for a 2 bedroom unexceptionable lies after lies I've asked for them to come fix the toilet but have yet to see anyone I needed a screen door for our patio they said we have to order it took a while & guess what unless the ordered a used one this one had to come off another apartment again lies lease up soon though
The worst place you can live at
The Pool
I'll start with the positives. It's pet friendly and that's why we chose it in the first place. It's also a pretty good deal for the money. The location is excellent, it's in a good neighborhood and it's close to everything. If I just had to rate the building itself, for the money, my rating would be good. However, the customer service aspect is very poor.
Maintenance
This place should be shut down, I've seen so much mold inside and outside the apartment.
My husband and I lived in these apartments for just over two years 2013-2015. We moved very quickly from a very nice and inexpensive apartment in Oak Grove to The Park on Country Club because they had very few requirements and were pet friendly. In the 2 years we lived in this disgusting apartment they went through 4 property managers. Everytime they replaced the manager they replaced the office worker and the maintenance guy. Each time we renewed our lease it took us weeks after our lease was up and constant "bugging" the office staff in order to get them to print up our lease so that we could sign it. We asked one property manager how much our lease would go up because we got a second pet and he said dont worry about it. A few weeks later he was fired and ended up in jail and the new property manager told us we had to pay a $200 fee in a week for the second pet. I would have had no problem paying the fee but another manager already told me I did not have to worry about it. So lets talk about the quality of people this company keeps hiring to run this place. The second property manager we had while living there was fired for being affiliated with a renter who was selling drugs out of an apartment. The third Property manager was fired and jailed for stealing money and many other shady things around the apartment. The apartment itself is disgusting! We moved into an apartment with black spray painted kitchen cabinets. Everything had been painted over including light switches and the bathroom mirror and to top it all off paint dried in drips running down the wall. Keep in mind these are old apartments and have extremely pour lighting. The living room and bed rooms have no overhead lighting, one of the plugs in each room is wired to the light switch. The carpet is ratty and stained with holes in it. The carpet doesnt look like it was ever installed properly because theres a gap between where the carpet ends and the base board begins. Everything that could have broke did and nothing ever got fixed or replaced properly. The absolutely worst thing that ever happened at this apartment was spending an entire winter WITHOUT HEAT. The pool they are so proud of is only ever open for maybe a month and one of the three summers I saw it didnt open at all. This place is a scam!! They charge way to much for way to little! If you are a Military family renting without seeing the place first, DONT! This company had a very good photographer take photos of the property and they have only ever used the one decent apartment for each floor plan to show prospective renters. I saw several nice families get screwed by renting sight unseen. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Most of the time, at least two machines are broken. The administration's primary way of dealing with it is to label which machines are broken and what's wrong with them.(As if one would still want to pay to use a dryer that doesn't heat!)
