They try to keep you as busy as possible but then they also remember that you’re human and sometimes you just need a little break from groups after groups.

The food is good and they give you plenty of snacks.

With nurses treating this as an alcohol free singles bar, keeping patients as prisoners against their will for 700$ a day, therapy once a week, you'd be better off actually paying for a real psychologist in a sane environment. Don't waste your time, nor your loved ones health here.

If a patient who has voluntarily signed themselves in wants to leave, I've been told by staff that the hospital can or will force them to stay with a court order (maybe because billings are important? More important than the actual care of the patient with everything else that seems to be going on?)

It’s a good hospital.

Their key focus seems to be/is isolating the patient and pushing medication, leaving a patients wife, for example, out of any treatment plans or healthy contact with the loved one.

I have concerns with nurses and possibly other staff who are engaging in relationships with patients, with wards not mattering as staff has access to and regularly enters the ward of their romantic partner. This is something that seems both unprofessional and detrimental to patient safety or treatments.

It was ok. Some staff was nice, some wasn't. I wanted to leave my 2nd week... I was there for 5 weeks. They didn't help because they couldn't find out what was wrong. I wasn't phsycotic I have OCD and extreme anxiety. They weren't the ones to diagnosis me... They kept accusing me of lying and I just couldn't do it.

The staff are nice and they are caring. It might not seem that way all around but I promise you they are.

At this point in time, I am unable to say that I am satisfied with the staffs treatment of family member concerns, routinely taking unprofessional tones and even mocking or agitating worried family members.

It helps with everything from detoxing to PTSD.

They were nicer to me in person, much nicer with some of the staff being kind, and while I understand they're doing their job, I am without understanding as to why they still hawk over visits with a clipboard and make visits uncomfortable between loved ones. It feels more like a prison than a facility and I don't even understand what they're trying to do to help because at no time, is anything clear.

I just left this place about a few hours ago , an ummm now I realized I don't have anymore thought to harm myself BC can't go there again they make you wanna kill yourself an have no control @via girls unit

(0 stars) This is the worst place on Earth. I was admitted for saying I want to kill myself jokingly and my parents took it seriously. Being in here has made me actually suicidal. We go to sleep at 9 and wake up at 6, we're not allowed to nap or be isolated when things get too much. There's fights and drama (on the girls unit), their favorite phrase is "focus on your treatment and no one else" what treatment??? We literally sit and watch TV all day, that's it. We're supposed to have group therapy, packets, etc we have them like twice a week, one therapist session a week, the doctor who talks to us for at most 2 minutes gets to make all the decisions for us if we can leave or not. I talked to her for 30 seconds exactly and she prescribed me lexapro. But what my experience has been this past week is: girl defended herself to the staff because she was being accused ended up being sent out into the hall, then they restrained her for no reason. After the girls heard her screaming down the hall for like about 45 minutes, one had a stress seizure, another passed out, another cut herself in the corner, then they were all screaming and crying. So because people reacted however they were going to react from screaming.. everyone got their free time and lunch/dinner taken away. I will say they have one good staff member who is Ms. Florida. Anyways let me finish my week, so they noticed cuts on this girls arms so Ms. Amanda went to search everyone's rooms, found metal pieces from I think the wall that 2/3 girls held together under their beds and so after that we all had to stay up until 12 am in the TV room doing nothing. She threatened to strip search all of us, which is get naked while they watch and go through our clothes. She got through half the group and forgot the rest. They punish everyone for 2/3 girls. There is no treatment. They get punished if they self harm because we're supposed to "go to them when they feel like cutting themselves." But one of the girls here went to the staff saying they were suicidal and she laughed at her. The nurse with red hair and a shoulder tattoo laughed at her for being suicidal. The most you need to work here is a high school diploma as a tech. Does that make sense to you? Being around people who are set off and have gone through some of the worst things I've ever heard being handled by people who only have high school diploma experience? They don't even know to put the girl on her left side, things that me and adolescent knows, that the 30 something year old staff doesn't. Just because you want to work here because you want to make a difference because you've gone through a rough childhood too does not mean you should. They handle us in the broken way they learned to handle themselves. I haven't gotten sunlight in 8 days, that's okay? You care about my well-being but I haven't gotten sun in 8 days.

Just like any other hospital in this line of work there are some things other do not approve of or think should be allowed, but all in all it’s a great place.
